I'm a beachcomber, stargazer, and storyteller at heart. I've spent a lot of time in the last few years learning about self love and acceptance, practicing self care and compassion, and healing old wounds in order to live a healthier, more joyful life. I'm here to give you permission and encouragement to do the same.
I spent most of my days in a fog. All day I was deeply focused on my work, often forgetting to eat lunch and waiting until I was desperate before taking a bathroom break. By the time I left work, I was exhausted, hungry, and stressed. So what did I do? Stop at the drive-thru for dinner, go home, and zone out. I would spend the evening in a haze, spiraling between the TV, internet, email, and social media. It was a vicious cycle and I felt miserable.
Do you ever have days like this? Days when you feel like you're going through life on autopilot? Countless hours disappearing in a work-induced, technology-fueled daze?
I'm right there with you.
Let's face it: life can be pretty stressful and sometimes it feels easier to hunker down and let life go by.
It's not really easier though, is it? Because when we numb out the bad feelings, we hinder our chances for happiness by numbing out the good feelings too.
We must feel to set our wild souls free.
