Sand in My Shoes

My sweetheart and I spent four days on the Oregon coast for my birthday. It was nothing short of amazing. Truly magical. We rented a little cottage in Cannon Beach, just a block from the shore. On sunny days, we'd spend hours just walking along the sandy beach, back-and-forth to Haystack Rock. While we were there, I was totally fascinated by the millions of small sea creatures that had washed ashore called By-the-Wind Sailors or Purple Sails. I'd never seen anything like it before.

We also spent time in Seaside, walking along the Promenade and visiting the Seaside Aquarium. It rained on Sunday, so we headed to Tillamook. There, we toured the Tillamook Cheese Factory and Tillamook Air Museum. We also hiked out to Munson Creek Falls. On the way home, we stopped in Long Beach, WA for a stroll on the boardwalk.

It was a wonderful vacation, and the perfect way to celebrate my birthday. Here are a few of my favorite photos from our weekend away...
